LELAND HOMES MAINTAINS UNIQUE RECORD
OF WINNING GOLD IN OBIE COMPETITION

Leland Homes had another successful evening at the annual OBIE Awards Banquet for Professionalism, as the Cobb County- based company earned Gold Awards in three categories and a Silver in another.
The OBIE Awards is the annual program hosted by the Sales and Marketing Council of the Greater Atlanta Home Builders Association. The black-tie dinner and presentation event was held recently at the Georgia World Congress Center.
The program gives members the association the opportunity to compete with their industry professionals in building, remodeling, marketing and personal achievement areas. This year, a select group of industry professionals traveled to Atlanta from across the United States to judge the hundreds of entries.
Mark Gibbs, who is a principal in Leland Homes along with Joe Dilbeck, said this year's recognition continues Leland Homes' winning streak of receiving a Gold OBIE Award for every model home the company has ever built. "This means that every model home Leland Homes has built has now won a Gold Award, which confirms our belief that we are the best boutique builder in Atlanta. This includes our two model homes in Silver Springs Village in Powder Springs, our active adult model home in the Georgian master planned community in Paulding County, which won last year, and now our two models at Tributary at New Manchester in Douglas County and the upscale, executive living model at Concord Lake Village in Smyrna."
This year's four awards brought the number of OBIEs earned by Leland Homes over the past five years to 12, noted Dilbeck.
The four OBIE Awards earned by Leland Homes in this year's competition included the following:

Leland Homes' Waverly model home at The Georgian, Cousin Properties' golf community in Paulding County, brought home a Gold Award from the 2005 Professionalism Awards Banquet to recognize the most outstanding professionals in Atlanta's home building industry.

The Professionalism Awards is the annual program produced by the Greater Atlanta Home Builders Association and the Atlanta Sales and Marketing Council. This year's presentation event was held recently at a black-tie awards dinner and program at the Georgia World Congress Center and attracted a crowd of over 1,400.

The program gives members the association the opportunity to compete with their industry professionals in building, remodeling, marketing and personal achievement areas. This year, a select group of industry professionals traveled to Atlanta from across the United States during August to judge the hundreds of entries.

Leland Homes' Waverly model captured the top award for Best Merchandising in the $200,000 to $249,999 price range. The award-winning merchandising plan was the work of Donna Mathis with DMD Designs of Suwanee, Georgia.

Mark Gibbs, who is a principal in Leland Homes with Joe Dilbeck, said this year's recognition continues Leland Homes' winning streak of receiving at least one Professionalism Award for every home the company has entered in the yearly competition over a 4-year period. This year's award was the 8th earned by Leland Homes.

The Waverly is a ranch plan designed for active adults. An open plan, it features a rotunda foyer, an open grand room to the dining area, and an island kitchen complete with walk-in pantry. A morning room is located off the kitchen, and the master suite, which has a sitting room, is separated from the secondary bedrooms.

This home also features a command center, coffered ceiling, a private laundry room, and a oversized garage. The exterior has a gorgeous Low Country look. More information about this home, as well as Leland Homes' other homes and neighborhoods, can be found at www.lelandhomes.net. Leland Homes is also building in Concord Lake Village in Smyrna and Tributary at New Manchester in Douglas County.

The Georgian is a 1,150-acre community on Highway 61 near I-20 West which features one of the Top 10 golf courses in Georgia, known as The Frog.
